Cake Topper--Too much?--Honest Opinions Please!

I have been kicking around this idea for months. I was thinking of getting this cake topper to look like the pic on the bottom, but with this design.

I am doing it on gold because my colors are gold and I want to keep it uniform, I have been getting flack from the family that gold is only for your 50th anniversary, but I don't care.

So what I am asking is about the design.
What do you think??? Too much??? The cake is also going to deocrated with my flowers.

If I don't go with the leaves I am probably going to do just the V. I think the full monogram would be too much.

I don't think that design is too much at all. I think it would be lovely- especially in gold. I would also do the single letter- the full monogram would be too much. Great choice! I like the leaves- keep 'em!

I really love that monogram and it will be beautiful, and gold is completely appropriate! And I am not blowing smoke up your a$$..

Seriously Love It! I was going to do the monogram but I didn't like the gold ones I was seeing. My colors are brown and gold with touches of fall colors. I was thinking of doing an etched glass one.

I don't think it's too much at all. Who cares if it's gold? Silver is fo 25 years so what does that leave you with? Nickel? LOL I like it.

Its so pretty. I great new take on the Monogram Cake top. I agree though a single letter and def gold to go with the leaves.

i LOVE it! who cares if it's gold. im a fall bride too and my colors are gold. thats silly that you cant use gold....gold is just the 50th gift...

where did you find that?
