Cake Topper Too Small?

I am not good with measuring things. I found this cake topper on the Knot ( ) and it says small topper. Would it be too small?

Small Cake Topper

Choose a sweet cake topper to go with your scrumptious wedding cake. The groom holds his bride's hand, while she holds a pale pink and white bouquet. This beautifully detailed ceramic topper is smaller than most, for a subtle addition to your confection. 4 3/4' h; 2 5/8'-wide base.

I think it may be if you are having a four tiered cake. If you've picked a baker yet, maybe show it to them, they've got a whole lot of experience with sizing and everything.

I don't think it would be too small. I just took out my measuring tape and measured 4 and 3/4 inches to see how tall that actually was. It looks like a good size. The cake toppers that are too big they can't even put on the cake. They have to put them in front. Is you cake going to be very large?

Or this one would be better maybe?
I am so confused with this.

I dont grasp how the cake toppers that are big and heavy dont fall right through the cake.

Which do you like better?

I know I don't know how they don't fall through either. But I have heard a few ladies who had the big porcelain ones say how they had to put them in front of the cake and not on top. Your cake is gorgeous. It is on the large size so I would go with the 7 inch ones. I think that will be perfect. I also like that one better. It is cute with him holding her.

I dont think its too small at all. They are both very cute. The smaller the better so it doesnt fall though!

I think you should go with the second one. It should be fine with the cake

i think the first oneis better if you want to actually put it ON TOP of the cake... mine is pretty big, and im just putting it on the table... i think the 1st one you posted is more of a 'Real' cake TOPper

Re: Cake Topper Too Small?

Thanks girls!
I called WCC and asked them since they are the ones making the cake. The 2nd one is 2.5 lbs and they said they would not put that one on top of the cake because they wouldnt want to be held responsible for it falling through. Its too bad I cant find the 2nd one but smaller. So I am going to order the 1st one today.

I love them both, but if you want it on the actual cake, the smaller one would be better
