Cake width

Am I obsessing over the details or what? Any ideas how wide the base of a typical wedding cake is? There is a beautiful antique glass cake stand on ebay I want but it is only 11 inches wide. Is that big enough?

I'm not sure -but I would imagine that a bakery would be able to customize the size to fit on your cake plate. I would call a bakery to be sure.

I don't even want to think about his one !!!
My cake will be an entire table long !!!!!!
Luckily my sis is making it, and she already has most of the necessary supplies from my Mom Phew !!!!!!!!
