Cakes

My reception hall includes a cake from Audrey's Bakery.

Do I need to contact them or anything?

Well I know I will eventually, but how far in advance do people order cakes?

I already know what I want - the design and flavor and everything lol

So what do you ladies think? Like 6 months in advance? Less/More? I'm just trying to get a time line together on things I have to do - so when should I put the cake?

I would call them to find out. Each place might be different. Most places wouldn't need more than a few weeks though in my experience. But definitely call to find out.

We're going at the end of the month for a tasting. I know the design we want, just not 100% on the fillings. I just want to do it so its another check off the list. We'll be too busy leading up to the date.

I gave our RH the design for our cake about 2 1/2 months before the wedding, and we finalized the flavors a month before.

Just call them and ask them when that needs to be done. For now, keep trying things and looking around until you know exactly what you want.

I loved our cake.
