I have these people recommended by my caterer for cakes, but I can only find a Website for one of them. Has anyone used them? It would be good to have some recommendations before calling.
They are: Kathy Burton Susan Blumenkrantz and Have Your Cake (based in Quogue, I think)
Any ideas on pricing? I've also heard Collette Foley is good, but would she be able to provide a cake for a wedding out east? Any other recommendations for someone out east who is good but not too pricey? And how much is a good price for a medium-sized cake for about 100 ppl? $300? $500?

well, if your out east, you may want to look at Rolling Pin. Im not sure how far out east you are but Rolling Pin is the house vendor for Girogo's which is 71 off the LIE. Rolling Pin is near Stony Brook College

I've tasted two wedding cakes from the Rolling Pin as well as their cupcakes and pastries - they are my absolute favorite bakery. Their wedding cakes are gorgeous and so incredibly tasty!

We are using Leanne Rose and she is excellent! SHe is the pastery chef from the Cooperage and works so well one on one. SHe came to me for the tasting and I got to choose what cakes I wanted to try and she made individual ones that were great!

Thanks. The Rolling Pin sounds good, I'll just have to check and see if it's out east enough. useralison where is the Cooperage and Leanne Rose based?
