cakes by Jay

FH and I are meeting with him tonight! Has anyone used him? Our hall provides a cake, but we have the option to upgrade to one of his. I've tasted his at a few wedding events and they are taste great!

Please do a search on this site. I've never used him or met with him, but I've read tons of terrible reviews on here.

I haven't used him but I have been at a wedding where he made the cake. The cake was completly wrong and not at all what the bride and groom asked for.

i think all the reviews were removed by LIW.

I have read lots of bad reviews on him as well...

he is who CB uses i think. Cake is included with our package but i don't know what i want to do just yet.. so i'm very curious to hear how things go with him!!! Good luck!

Just FYI, CB uses Erga Bakery for their cakes, but Cakes by Jay are a preferred vendor if you want to upgrade your cake.

I will prob using an outside person to do my cake and not my RH. I saw a Cakes by Jay advertisement in a wedd mag and it looks like he can make amazing cakes. Is he located in LI? Good Luck

See I tried his at a few bridal shows and always thought they tasted very moist and good! And thats why i wanted to use him....

AHHH Im so torn now!! I thought he was supposed to be very good.

FH and I are still gonna meet with him and have an open mind. It seems some people have had great experiences as well.

I tried one of his cakes at a showcase at the CB. It was pretty good. I know that CB recommends him if you want an upgrade for your cake. I have seen a few pictures of his cakes and they look beautiful.

hey date/hall twin!

i loved his cake that i tasted at the showcase at the fox hollow in march... however i've tasted other cakes of his, that were yummy, but not at all what the bride/groom had wanted at their wedding.

after you meet with him, can you FM me pricing details or whatever? I don't think i'd use him for our wedding cake, but maybe for a grooms cake or something.
