Has anyone contacted Cakes by Mona? Or even used them? I emailed them two weeks ago and then called last week because I didnt get a reply. So when I called I was asked my email address ( I guess so they could find it) and then I was told that Mona would call me back. So now I'm on week 2 without any reply from them. My question is... did it take them this long to get back to you?
I would like to start calling other places at this point... do you think I gave it enough time?
Oh I need the cake in like 2 weeks! LOL!

I would start calling other places to be on the safe side.
Have you tried Baked to Perfection in Port Washington? The owner is one of the top 10 pastry chefs in the country. The cakes taste as good as they look. I used them for the cake for my sister's shower (pics are in my album). My sister, in turn, used them for the cake for my shower yesterday. I don't have pics yet, but it looked like Chanel purses. Even the male staff at the restaurant took pictures on their cell phones!

I had the same issue with Mona and than just got an email back that said 'the cake will be $500 pluss $200 for details'
In the mean time i had already heard back from and signed a contract with the sugar chic. Her prices were amazing and she was very helpful. HTH!

I'm sure if she took your order already, you're fine. I had contacted her about a groom's cake, and she told me that she was not accepting new orders. I'm sure existing orders will be fine.

Yeah... No I'm sure its totally fine!! Shes not taking any new orders. She was getting swamped with cakes.

I don't think they have a web site, but if you go there, they have tons of books with pictures of prior cakes. Also, if you know what you want, just bring a picture with you and they can copy it/modify it. The chocolate mousse filling is to die for!
