For anyone that was thinking of may be going to cake boss in hoboken for your cake dont! . MY FSIL got one for her rehearsal diner last night and it really wasn't even as good as there local baker in Brooklyn. ( Fortunatos in wiliamsburg) there was like sugar on the bottom of the cake that actual cake was ok nothing to rave about. they didnt use fresh fruit inside it was like strawberry preserves and very little banana. and then there was this nasty chocolate pudding in it, and i don't like butter cream. all in all i would not go back there

Soo they had to remake her a new cake and on the day of the wedding she got mad that someone told her beautiful her cake was. she goes thats all you acknowlegde is the cake then get teh F**K outta my face. I feel sooooooo bad for whoever is marrying her. I hate people like that.

I went to school with the baker and he even beat the 'cake boss' on one of the Food Newtwork challenges.

Lol, my FH would hug and kiss you right now. He gets SO annoyed that the place blew up and there's always a line outside just because of the show. In my opinion, it's overrated and I don't even like their style. Kind of old fashioned. I think they have a show because of their family drama and not for the baked goods.
lol and i did see that episode. she was bridezilla queen.

Re: Cakes from Cake boss
My question is... when you make a cake days in advace in order to decorate it, how does it still TASTE good? How does the cake stay moist and fresh? I'd rather have a simple, great tasting cake, than a beatiful sculputre that tastes like ***. I can get a centerpiece anywhere.
