Do the halls give you a cake to go with your package? Or do you buy it separately? What do they go for if they are separate? (just trying to figure a budget here) Thanks

My hall includes the cake into the price. They are giving me a choice of 5 different styles to pick from and really any kind of filling we choose.

Most hall include it with their package. however, if there is a special cake that you want with most of the halls you have one of two options. You pay extra or you hire an outside bakery to do it.

My hall includes the cake. It is just a standard style. We can meet with the bakery and change/upgrade the cake if we want. We will just pay the difference. I haven't visited them yet so I haven't gotten prices, sorry.

some halls include it and some don't, mine does but when I showed them a pic of the one I want they told me I would have to pay about $450 for the upgrade. So just because they include it doesn't mean they will make anything you want.

Most halls include a cake, but you have to choose from the designs that they offer. If you want a specialty cake or custom design, speak to the bakery that services the hall. If they can accommodate your vision, than go with what the hall includes to save your budget.
If not, shop around for a cake designer that shares your vision. The price is contingent upon the design itself, and the size of the cake you need, which is determined by your number of guests. Usually it's calculated by a per slice price.
I highly recommend my cake designer, Cynthia Piethman of Cakeline Couture. She is truly an artist! Good luck!

The cake is included at our hall, we have a few choices or we can upgrade for additional cost. I will probably just go with one of theirs, I cannot see spending extra money on a cake (as I am spending extra money everywhere else )

Mine includes it also, but I think it's only for one design, if you want a better one you have to pay....

Cake is included with most halls. It depends on how important it is to you. I went for a cake testing and my hall uses a well known bakery but I didn't like it. So I also went with Cynthia Peithman of Cakeline and I LOVE MY CAKE. It not only looked good it tasted great!
