i had the RH put on a single flower on the top ... i didn't want to spend money on a cake topper (especially since i'd have nothing to do with it after the wedding was over)
A cake topper is not necessary at all. We have one that my MOH purchased for us but I was thinking of using it on the Grooms cake (since it goes with the theme of it) and for our wedding cake have it top with flowers.
I had a letter in my cake, but it didn't need it. It had flowers on the top of it.

I wasnt planning on using a topper... but our BA said she would put the lenox topper on it... i just assumed it was too heavy!! i didnt even necessarily want it on there..
This is how it was until we cut the cake

I have no idea what I want, going w/o a topper is totally cool! I wasn't set on one until I thought of having a penguin bride and groom and now I'm determined to find one thats not cheap looking
