Hope this helps..here is how mine was calculated but it all depends on how much gratuity your hall charges. My pp started at $70 $70 x 20% grat = $84pp $84 x 8.625% tax = $91.25pp final

You shouldn't get taxed on gratuity, so it should be: (if pp is $70)
$70 x 20% (grat) = $84 pp $70 x 8.625% = $6.037 (tax pp) so the final amount would be $90 I know it's really close to $91.25 but it ads up and you SHOULD NOT be taxed on gratuity!

Actually - Most halls call it a 'SERVICE CHARGE' so it is taxed. I had my hall calculate with everything for me to be sure it matched my #.
The formula is (assuming it is a service charge):
[COST PP] x [1.2%] x [1.08625] = [Amount you are paying PP]

I guess I shouldn't talk, I really don't know I just think its crazy to be taxed on gratuity.. but, who the hell knows... My tax was 'included' cause I payed cash...
