Has anyone taken a trip to Cali and gone from San Fran down to LA? We have approx. 10 days in August and we'd like to rent a car and go from San Fran down...LA we are fine cause we have friends and family... But I have no idea where you stop from San Fran to LA. We'd like to go to the wine region too.

i am from los angeles :) san fran and the drive down to la is awesome on route one aka pacific coast highway.
to get from san fran to la ...honestly can be around a 10 hour drive... bc of traffic.
where are you staying in los angeles??
on the way i would definately stop by santa barbara..but i am not so good with wine country to tell you where to go.
there are more direct routes down to la...but route one is the best along the coast!! sooo beautiful!!!

sonoma and napa are like 1.5 hrs north of san fran.
