And my veil and dress are there (woo hoo!) but they won't schedule a fitting for me until 6 weeks before the wedding... Is that weird? Originally they told me to call on March 1 and schedule a fitting in March but now they are telling me to wait until mid April?

Yes! They called me on Saturday and I tried to get an appt ASAP and they said March 13th. I was like, you don't have anything sooner?..and she kept saying 'You have enough time'. I thought it was because I wanted evenings or a weekend. Now I see their little trickery..lol

That's right, I'm the same date as you and my first fitting is April 20th. They also told me 6 weeks and April 20th is like 6 weeks and 3 days.

no with the whole 5-6 weeks before your dater sh*t. what other place does this? if your dress comes in, it comes in and not that close to your wedding date.
i'm really pissed b/c of my stupid hairpiece and being told that if i needed that along with my dress sooner i should've said so. HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

how about this they gave me the appt to pick up my dress 2 days b4 the wedding and when I got there to pick it up they were closed! I ended up getting money off my dress which was cool but boy did that stress me out!!!

My salesperson was not my favorite person. She attempted to make me buy a dress I didn't like because she thought it looked good on me and then got annoyed when I asked her for more dresses. My dress came in a little over 5 weeks from my wedding. When I bought it I was told it would come in at 8 weeks.
My seamstress, Laura.... she's awesome! I love her to death.
My next fitting in Thursday! Can't wait!

yeah I have heard that they do that.....that is why I told them my wedding date was 2 weeks before my actual date.

yeah they blamed it on the poor seamstress I was livid cuz it was a holiday weekend and I didnt know how I was gonna get my dress. Oh and I have never thought about vandlism soooo much since when I looked through the door there was my dress hanging there I figured one brick would do it lol
