Can anyone give me the name of a good calligrapher? What is an average cost for one? Is the cost by the envelope or by the hour? Thanks

I heard of one in queens, the woman charges about 2.00 for the set. I had inquired about it and its by the set, or by the envelope. I think thats about average price.

Hi Andrea, I used a fantastic calligrapher. Her name is Mindy Rosner, she's in Stony Brook. She charges $1.64 a set!, she's very inexpensive and she does the calligraphy by hand, not laser. she does the inne4r & oter envelope, and sits w/ you and goes over how it should be addressed. Pat Dell in Melville. 631-423-3281. She does absolutely beautiful work and charges $1.50 per set (inner and outer envelopes) and will do seating cards too (extra charge). I saved my friend's wedding invitation from last year (before I was even engaged) because I knew I wanted to use her calligrapher! Pat just did mine last week and they are GORGEOUS. Tell her Gina Saline recommended her.

I used 'Calligraphy by June'. She is a really nice woman who does it from her home and is excellent! Her number is 631-754-0246. She charges 1.50 for outside envelope, .50 fpr inside envelope, .75 per place card, and will stuff them for .50 each envelope. If you give her a call, she will be happy to send you samples.
