FH & I decided we want a calligrapher to do our envelopes. We were quoted at $1.35 per envelope or $ 1.60 per set (outer and inner). Thoughts? Also, if anyone has a calligrapher they loved working with/are working with can you send me contact info.

We used Melanie from A Fine Letter. She's based out of Naperville, IL, but others on this site have used her. Her Web site lays out all her pricing, lettering styles, and policies. DH and I were very pleased with her work. Her prices can't be beat.

I would love to, but Scott is so set on the calligraphy. He is loving the whole invitation process and it's great to see him so excited & in his element (who knew!!!!). He's been involved every step along the way I just can't bring myself to talk him out of it. He was a dream come true for Joan (invite vendor)...talking about the invite sets the tone of the wedding....needing to look formal....heavy cardstock...Bickum font...terracotta ink.

the prices you gave are just about right..buttt
I was given this link for digital calligraphy .39 for the outstide envelope and .29 for the inside envelope.

i am using michelle from EZ calligraphy and she charges 1.50 a set and you get 10% for mentioning LIweddings

I used Wendy Trout... Her work is amazing and she charged 1.50 per set (outer and inner) and I got soooo many compliments on the calligraphy. I think that is a good price. If you wanted to contact Wentdy her e-mail is: [email protected]
