Calligraphy

I personally love handwritten things (letters, notes, envelopes, etc.)
I'm wondering if I should pay to get my envelopes and place cards done in calligraphy. Anyone doing this? Any idea on costs? Do you think anyone really cares?

Alot of people dont really pay attention to this at all, but if you want it and it makes you happy go for it. But in my honest opinion you could do a really nice calligraphy computer font and no one will really know the difference. People just look at the envelopes most of the time and then throw them away. I would spend that money which is around $3 a set, to do something else to make your wedding unique.

my invitations were calligraphy, not done by computer, so i had my envelopes done to match. i loved the way it looked & we thought it was worth the money.

i find that with deciding stuff like this, you will get a whole range of opinions from the ladies here, but whats the most important is how you prioritize everything. i spent money on things that others would never, and i cut back on things that were very important to other people.

Both are valid points; I guess it's just a matter of preference.
