Is Calligraphy a must for the invites? If so, what gets it and what doesn't?

Re: Calligraphy
I was thinking about taking calligraphy classes. Anyone know how difficult it is?
If not, I'm just having them printed...either on my computer or bringng them somewhere. Definitely not using labels.

I bought a book that will teach you calligraphy, for $5 in the clearance section at Borders... I'll be sure ot post a review of it!

Re: Calligraphy
My BM and FI did all of the calligraphy, they did an awesome job!! If they hadn't offered to do that, I would have handwritten them

Re: Calligraphy
Did you use a certain program for that or just Word? Did you use a standard font or a scripted one for that calligraphy effect?
I have a really crappy printer so I'm not sure if I want to do it right on the envelope for fear of messing it up. I might have to order extra envelopes.

Re: Calligraphy
I have a BM that is looking to do wedding stuff as a side business and she does great calligraphy but she has been a big pain to my 2 MOH and me (which I was surprised at) so now FH doesn't want to give her the business, and she's more his friend than mine! My invite person has a lady who prints them in a printer for $1.60 an envelope- I guess that's OK....I dunno....I don't trust myself with it! We'll see....I'm looking into options.
