FH and I went to a store called the Paperia where we live (near Philly). We aren't planning on choosing or buying invitations yet but I wanted to get a good idea of what's out there and how much it's going to cost us. The invitations were reasonable but they wanted $4.50 PER INVITE to address the envelopes (and that's on the computer; not even hand calligraphy). Is this typical?!? That seems absolutely ridiculous! There's no way I'm spending 450 bucks to have them print addresses on my envelopes in a fancy font! Is it just me or is that an insane price?!?

OMG that's such a relief (and SO inexpensive)! Do you just mail them the envelopes and they mail them back? How does that work? THANK YOU!

Re: Calligraphy question
Wow that site looks great. Do you happen to have a picture of the finished product? I'd love to see how the envelopes came out.

Re: Calligraphy question
I used Wendy Trout. She does alot of girls' calligraphy on here. She's hand calligraphy and soooooo talented. Her work is truly beautiful and she's only $1.50 a set (inner and outer) which is a great price for hand work, i got so many compliments on it. If you do a search on here you'll see her glowing reviews.

i printed our invite envelopes at home. i did a big fancy font and they looked great! (if i do say so myself :)) it was a slight pain in the butt but in the end not too bad and totally worth the money saved!
