Calligraphy vs. Computer printed on invites

Calligraphy vs. Computer printed on invites

I can't decide which to do. I've heard raves about both. I don't really want to go crazy and spend a lot of money. Any rants/raves? Any suggestions for both that aren't too expensive?

TIA

If you are getting 'computer calligraphy', do it yourself! it's so much cheaper, and it looks exactly the same. they'll tell you about a $10,000 program and charge you $1 an envelope. But you can do it for free with word.

My sister sent out a few last minute invitations and didn't have time to send them to the 'computer calligrapher' I did them on the computer and you could NOT tell the difference

computer calligraphy is the way to go if you are not looking to spend alot of $$$. I would agree with the above poster, except in cases where a specialty font is used. The stuff on artistic adressing is very different and they are customizing one of their specialty adresses to match my invite....

I used artistic addressing as well and was very very happy! I didn't want to mess around with putting them through my printer because of the lined inner envelope and the embossing.

We went with a hand calligrapher and they came out beautifully! We were very pleased.
