I was just wondering where all you 9/03 brides were at with your vendors & things. EVERYONE keeps telling me that I am soooooo ahead of myself, but I feel like I'm lagging, and that not everything is going to be done by the time the wedding comes around......

Karina I am sooooooo jealous that you are getting a house! Where is it if I may ask? We cannot even really look until after the wedding b/c we cannot afford to both save for the wedding and pay a mortgage at the same time BUT! After the wedding....
Felicia - Denise told me you were moving but she didn't say where...
Dani good luck with the fotog - Patken was our second choice but we went with Ray O'Connor ultimately because he gave us more bang for our buck and there are also a lot of family connections with him....

No house shopping for me till after the wedding! I am looking to book limos this month. Also, have to register but that's about it for now!

Same here LnP-We are going to TTC when we start looking for houses-maybe about 5-6 months after the wedding-who knows, maybe we'll be prego at the same time!

we are waiting awhile unfortunately to start a family... I would have liked to try after two years but TJ wants to wait until after five years! I try to keep a positive head about it and I guess that wioll be fine... I love him and I guess in a way I can enjoy us being married, getting the house, enjoying our time together! With TJ, that will be fun.... Lisa, it makes me feel a little better to know that Pete changed his mind on that!

Rach - We got an apt on the upper eastside. It’s about 3 blocks away from where we are right now. It is a 2 bedroom and we are excited about having more space. I think I am the only person who doesn't have a desire to get a house. I was born and raised in the city and love it and actually don't really like houses and the responsible that go along with them. FH tries to convince me but I love the convenience of the city and all that it offers. Maybe one day he will break me down but I don't think so. I would love the space of a house and the yard but the overall care it requires takes up so much time. I love an apartment b/c the only requirement is keeping it clean. If something breaks you call maintenance and they fix it - so easy! lol We think we are going to try for a honeymoon baby but we go back and forth.
Marissa - 5 years will fly by and you guys are young so you have time but I think TJ will come around sooner then you think.

No dc, you are not alone! ME too!- I def. don't want to have children as soon as we are married. But, I would like to try after two years or so. FH wants to wait 5 years, which seems like a lot! That is kind of a bummer but I'll manage.... We have a great thing going and on some level, I don't want to have to share him with anyone else. Also, I want to build a strong foundation before we have children. Not to say that people who are having kids soon are wrong! I think that is wonderful! I am just trying to justify the positive of waiting for a LONG TIME, which is what I am going to need to have to do.

I will be 32 when we get married and in my mind, don't have a whole lot of time to wait to try and get pregnant. If I had married him at 27, it would be a totally different story. I have never been pregnant nor have I ever tried to get pregnant, so the all-important question looms: Can I actually get pregnant?
I don't think it's too wise of me to wait until I'm 35 to find out.....but I'm not sure FH is as ready as he needs to be to be a father.

Wedding Update- I mailed our save the dates. I don't think we are going to have a video because we met with two people and one was ok but I'm not sure. Wild Rose is booked already, so I don't know what to do.

wedding update! Photographer is booked! We met w/ Steve from Patken last night and LOVED him and his work so we booked right on the spot. Our package is great and I was very impressed by his prices compared to some other photographers we saw. I am so excited (can't you tell ), now all my BIG vendors are done-off to limos and flowers now...

We booked Steve from Patken too and had our engagement portraits taken on Wed night. It was good. Although we are spaz's who couldn't tell our right from our left
I feel like I have a lot done and have to wait now until it gets closer to do much more. Although I feel like I should be doing more now.
