I have medium brown hair but have been coloring it blonde for the past five years. I love the dramatic look of 'blonde' but, even though I have always had it professionally colored, it's very porous from the color treatments. When my roots come in, they are so drastically different from the rest of my hair. I feel completrely self-conscious until I have a retouch. I'm looking into darkening up my hair, just a little. I'm thinking maybe a very dark blonde / light brown. Anyone with a similar experience or advice???
PS Here is a Jenn pic I love, maybe looking into this as 'my new shade'?
maybe you could do a darker color with blond highlights, or add some lowlights into what you have now - or both! highlights and lowlights tend to take notice away from any roots that are growing in b/c they blend better. i'd look through a bunch of magazines and pick some pictures and discuss it with a good colorist. there are also treatments to repair your hair and make it less porous. post pics when you're done!

Re: Calling all 'Blondes'
Can you post a picture of what your hair looks like now? The Jennifer Anniston picture still looks very blonde to me. I am going through the same thing and I think I am just going to let my natural color come in. Since the wedding I have used L'Oreal Natural Match a few times, but my hair feels so dry lately that I don't want to continue dyeing it (plus DH and I are TTC).
