I am int he process of planning a bridal shower and I wanted to get feedback from brides. Given the choice, where would you like your shower? Would you rather a buffet or sit down? Thanks

Both are nice. Whichever bridesmaids can afford (if one is cheaper). I've been to both and really have no preference.

Depends on the size of the party. The bigger the size, you might want a sit down so that there isn't a long line for the buffet. Keep in mind sit downs are more expensive but only by a few dollars more per person.
But I've seen it done both ways (and even at homes with a 6 foot long hero and salads) and all 'types' were great.

I personally have been to both (buffet and sitdown). Have no preference. As to the place, that too I have no preference. I have been to showers at restaurants, houses, catering halls, etc.
I think whatever the girls can afford is more than fine with me. It is always the thought and effort that matters.

I had my shower at Johnathans in Garden City Park and it was amazing! We had a private room for about 60 people and the food and service was fantastic. We had a full sit-down lunch but I have been to a buffet lunches as well and found those to be great - as long as the place is great, it doesn't matter either way.

I agree with the size of the party...personally I prefer it to be in a home....everyone is more relaxed, it can be as casual as you want it to be, and you're not being rushed out after the 3-4 hr time limit. Yes...preparation and clean up are a factor...but if everyone chips in a bit, it's easy.

I like bridal showers at homes...they are more personal, cozier, and like someone else said, more relaxed and you don't have to rush. Especially if you hire an outside caterer...and do it buffet style. These kinds of showers always stay in my memory as the most fun!
