Calling all Brides from BKLYN

Is anyone using ANY vendors from the BK? Honestly, the less I have to go out to LI, the better. I am wondering if there is any thing worth checking out a little closer to home.

I am in Bay Ridge and I am using:

Florist: Flowers by Emil (18th Avenue)
Invites and Favors (The Bride's Choice 18th Ave - Laurie from TBC is actually the one who told me about NYCityWeddings!)
Limos: Double Diamond
MOB Dress: Charmette (5th Ave)
Veil/Headpiece: Charmette (5th Ave)

Getting married at St. Anselm's Church on 4th ....

I'm going to the SI outting Saturday Night too!

Who is everyone getting for there hair? I was thinking Pilo Arts I goto them normally to get my hair done, but Im not 100% sure I want them to do the wedding hair......

Any suggessstions?

I went to Maid to Order when I was looking for BM dresses. I actually found the dress we went with there (but purchased from RK Bridal).

None of my vendors are from LI. Here's who we're using:

Modern Art Photography (Brooklyn): love, love, love them! The owner does a lot of print work, so they're not strictly a wedding place. They had the most options as far as album types.

Premiere Digital (Staten Island): They deejayed a friend's wedding and it was the first time my fiance and I loved a dj. The company spcializes in videography and we're using them for this as well (fantastic prices).

Flowers by Emil (Brooklyn): I cannot say enough about Carmine. This was the easiest choice I made.

Both of my brother's went to St. Anslem's for grammer school! I also graduated high school and college with a lot of folks from there! It's such a BEAUTIFUL church, I wish I could have my mass there, but unfortunately we're not parishners.

Bay Ridge--Ridge Blvd. off 86th Street. I thought there would not be so many people from Brooklyn on this site.

I'll be leaving in May though, to move to Great Neck. He owns a co-op, it's bigger, and I rent, so it was a no-brainer.

I used Little Wedding Works for the invitations, but there were a couple things I wasn't pleased about, so I'm not recommending them strongly. If anyone wants more details fm me!

Maid to Order is right around the corner from me too!!!

All of my vendor's are in Brooklyn:

Photo/Video - Elite on 5th ave - pricey but I feel worth it
Florist - Flowers by Emil - enough said!
Gown - Eve of Milady at Valentina's - they were AMAZING to work with!
DJ - Dash of Class - Much MUCH less epensive than Classie Sounds for the same reputation and package
Church - St Finbar's on Bath Ave - Beautiful but expensive
Limos - Romantique - FH knows a guy so we got a sick deal for the Hummer sretch and 10 passenger lincoln
