So my little pandora isn't eating or using the litter box.... I'm calling the vet tomorrow, but I wanted to get your opinions... The tenant upstairs gave dh a box of kitty litter saying her cat didn't like it, so Saturday I use it (mind you the litter box has a cover for privacy so I didn't notice anything)... I noticed Sunday night that she didn't eat anything... So I check the litter box to see if she's made number two.... Nope. I figured it was the litter so i changed it back to her usual type.
So Monday I leave out her food, she doesn't eat, so I offered her a treat, she turned her nose to it... I offered her tuna.... That was a no. Same with chicken broth... She's not even drinking water. So I left out more food today hoping she'd eat and go potty, I just got home... Still nothing. I just chased her around the house with a eye dropper (new) filled with water and broth and forced her to at least drink a little, she did, but she won't drink out of the dish. I tried to get wet food in her mouth and she freaked and ran.... I bought some cat grass yesterday hoping that might settle her tummy, she's been munching on that a little.. But I'm. Freaking out!!!!! Anyone else ever go through this? None of my previous cats did this...

Re: Calling all cat owners...
Feel better Kitty. Is this the first time you have switched her litter ? Its prob not the litter but if so its better to mix the old and new the first time , my mothers cat acted all crazy like the first time she changed a brand. Maybe meow is stressed bring her to vet, they get dehydrated fast without water, good luck

Re: Calling all cat owners...
Please please take her asap...I know you are! God forbid there is a crystal (which is like a kidney stone in a person), it could be causing your kitty to feel sick and if the crystal doesnt pass on its own, it could create a blockage. I have no clue if its this because my cats symptons were different when it was this but all the same...good luck, keep us posted!!!
