Calling all fashion specialist.....................

please help me.

My BMs ordered their navy blue satin 2 piece dress. I was searching on ebay for a FG dress. I saw this gorgous dress that is satin and comes in white, ivory, lilac, burgandy, and silver. What do you think about BMs dresses in Navy and FGs in lilac.

depending on your dress color..I would stick with either ivory, white or silver for them...the lilac looks like it will just not fit with navy..

Very pretty dress...but I'm not sure it will go with the Navy. What about the ivory or the silver...they both would go very nice with the navy. JMO.

Burgandy! I know it sounds crazy but if the dresses are dark navy the burgandy color against them will look beaytiful! A girl at work just had it. You can do deep red roses for the bridesmaids to blend in with the theme.

It was a girl at work who just came back from her honeymoon yesterday. She is a little flacky when it comes to asking for stuff, but when she puts the pictures on the shutterfly and I can see them I will let you know. I will ask though for a proof but I can't guarantee. If not when you go to a dress store let the woman put a burgandy dress near the bridesmaids gowns. That will give you a better idea.

what color is your dress? I would match the fg dress to the color of your dress. the dress is very pretty. i know the bp will look awesome. let us know what you decide.

The color of my dress is the issue. My dress is labled ivory but is a lot closer to white or I would not have ordered it. It is more of a natural white. If I order the ivory FG dress it will be to dark, and the white could clash with my dress. I am considering the silver because the BM dresses have a silver design on the navy blue top. (the men will be in silver vest and tie). I will keep u posted!

I like the idea of Lilac and Navy Blue!

Blue and purple (in any incarnations) always look great together, IMO. If you like it, GO for it!

Another vote for the lilac with the navy. I think purples always look good with blues - especially if you incorporate the purples in the BMs bo-k's.

I also like the idea of the silver color - since you mentioned the silver detail in the navy dresses.

I agree, if your dress is a natural white (mine is too) a FG dress in either white or ivory, will clash/not look right. JMO.

I WOULD GO WITH LILAC AND NAVY FOR A SPRING WEDDING BUT I WOULD ALSO INCORPAORATE LILAC FLOWERS IN THE BM'S BK'S..IF IT'S A WINTER WEDDING I WOULD GO WITH THE BURGUNDY AND THE SAME IDEA WITH THE FLOWERS.......IT'S A BEAUTIFUL FG DRESS!! GOOD LUCK

I guess I'm in the minority here ...
I actually think navy blue with lilac would be beautiful. My BM's are wearing navy also and my mom recently tried on a lilac dress that was stunning. I had no worries about the colors clashing. I thought it would have been a great contrast. You can add a touch of blue, lilac, and burgundy to the flowers that will tie it all together.

Let us know what you decide!
