Calling all Italian Brides....

Is 'Le Mamme' a good song for FH and his mother? I cannot find the english translation to this song. Can anyone help me??????

It is a very popular song..and most Italian guys do dance with their mother to that song.

But I think the correct name of the song is 'Momma'

These are the lyrics for the one by Toto Cotugno. I think there is another one called Mamma? Sorry I don't have the english translation handy... I can translate it for you, but I am at work now and don't have time. I can do it tonight if you need...

a translation would be great! Especially since the only italian I know are the curse words!!! Thank you so much!

but what does it SAY???? Come on Rosie, you speak Italian.......

Ok so I had some time and went to Altavista babelfish which translates words and sentences...It translates sentences but some words together are not recognized so here is the basic translation...

Two large arms in order to abandon to me within if the night. I had a fear deep eyes for which I was an open book without to say one word.
You had thousand good ways in order to wake up to me when I did not want to go to school and I asked myself while I watched them the feet this angel you do not want.
The mothers dream, the mothers age the mothers love themselves, but they love you to.
Thus small I would have faced the world troubles. Who I approach myself and who touches it and that sweet words like those cakes to the furnace that came in my mouth.
You tucked me under blankets if I had a fear I dived myself in bed embraces opened to every thunder strongly tightened to me
The mothers dream, the mothers age the mothers love themselves, but they love to you
The mothers watch in the sky the airplane and that train on the railroad spoke and far away dreams of the son in front of one photography
The mothers cry and dry glance at them to it while the years if tasks go some if to when they held to you for hand it seems that melancholy yesterday
The mothers dream, the mothers age the mothers love themselves, but they love you of the mothers dream, mmmmmmmm.........
The mothers are loved, but they love you
Music.....
The mothers dream, the mothers age - the mothers love themselves, but they love you

Sorry I hope someone could do a better job..it kinda butchers the song but again it is only an approximate. I hope this helps a little.

I have NEVER heard it in English....

the post above explains the meaning of the song...but anytime you translate something from Italian to English,,it loses the true meaning in the words....make sense???
