What do I do next with them? Do I call them to arrange payment & stuffs or they would contact me? I don't like their cake designs, can I bring in my own? Who do I talk to about decoration & menu? For those of you got married there, pls help me with the details after booking! Thankss!!!

First of all congrats on booking with JT. I had my wedding there this past September.
I'll try to help you with your questions 1 at a time:
1. What do I do next with them? If you're wedding is in October then you really don't have to do anything with them except pay them. You can make an appointment with Francesca from Dazzling Affairs (their in house free wedding planner) and she can go over budget with you. I believe I met with someone about 2 months before the wedding (I THINK IT WAS THEN) and then 10 days before the wedding but you can call anytime and they will answer your questions. They are REALLY helpful like that.
2. Do I call them to arrange payment & stuffs or they would contact me? When I booked with JT they gave me my contract with a payment plan all written out. I would call your BM and ask for your payment plan so you know how much and everything. Our final payment was due at our last meeting.
3. I don't like their cake designs, can I bring in my own? You of course can bring in your own. Dortoni's is AMAZING! Since they are the one that offers the free cake to JT with the designs maybe go there and you can change some things around and you might be able to get a special rate. DEF call! And I recommend their cake tasting there! My dad wants to go back and pretend we're cake tasting!
4. Who do I talk to about decoration & menu? Did they give you that book? They should have went over how many options you get. You don't really pick the menu until about 10 days before at that last meeting I think. But the book should have all your choices. Your dinner menu you don't pick from (except if you have to choose between the 2 steaks) but your guests get to chose from that menu. As for the CH, you chose that at your last meeting when you go over all details to the room and decorations with the Matree D. Going over it now, they won't remember, so they do it about 10 days before. For the meeting that I think is 2 months before you will get a letter in the mail from JT telling you to come make an appointment with Linda.

All of this! Also, our contract also outlined all of our payments and when they were due as well. You definitely want to get that worked out before you go any further.

CONGRATSSS!! You made the best decision JT was fabulous and went above and beyond any expectation I might have had!
Okay to answer your questions 1. They should have arranged a payment schedule for you on your contract. Follow that and then at your final meeting the balance is due in cash at the end
2. If you have a cake design in mind I suggest bringing it to Dortoni's in the Levittown that is the bakery they use. I didn't want touse one of their either so I brought a pics we custom designed my own and it was just a little bit of an upcharge but probably cheaper than using a completely different bakery.
3. Decorations and menu are all taken care of at your menu selection meeting held about 6 weeks before your wedding. They will contact you to set it up
Any other questions feel free to ask and congrats! I wish I could get married all over again just to work with the people at JT and live the day all over again.

Everything she said! Depending on the cake design you want, it may cost extra. I wasn't too big a fan of their cake designs, either, so we picked the simplest one and called it a day. All I cared was that it tasted good!
As for the menu options- it depends on how many choices you have to give your guests. We had nin entree choices to pick and there were many extra options. I didn't know at the time, but apparently they have other specialty menus to choose from as well. So ask about those! GOod luck and enjoy!

JT is amazing! Anthony was our BM and was always available to answer questions or help problem solve. I'd suggest taking a look at the most recent wedding reviews from JT. They may offer some help in your planning process.

I've booked JT for July 30th and am so excited! Have any JT brides asked the chef to cook something that was not one of the options on the cocktail hour menu? There are a few items that I would love for them to add to our cocktail hour and they said that they can customize. However, I'm afraid of the outcome if they need to make something that they don't typically make or specialize in. Please let me know your thoughts. Also, anybody else booked at JT on July 30th 2011?? Thanks!

JT is very willing to work with you!! We used stuff off their menu, but their chefs are great. You should have no problem.
We got married in July and JT was beautiful at that time. You won't be dissapointed!!
