Calling all July 6 Brides...

Hi Ladies,

Are there any July 6th Brides out there. The time is getting close and I am getting nervous!!! How are you ladies holding up? What's driving me nuts right now is the little details that have to be taken care of for the wedding. There are so many that I feel like i'm going to loose my mind. Next saturday I am trying on my gown for the first time and I am so worried that I gained weight. People have said that I look like I have lost it but I don't feel it. Especially since I have not been on any kind of diet...and i feel guilty when people say 'you look great, did you loose weight' My rehearsal dinner is scheduled for june 28 and now i have to start making appointments to meet with the reception hall, photographer, the limo company, and DJ to go over details. And I still havent met with a Florist yet. And I keep getting nervous that my wedding is on a Holiday weekend and keep worrying about the traffic. My reception is at Floral Terrace in Floral Park Long Island so it is not far out on the Island.

My Honeymoon is all paid for. We are going on a cruise to Bermuda...I can't wait!

Hi there! I'm July 6, too, and I hear ya! I'm also planning from Washington, DC, so it's even more craziness! We were up last weekend for my shower and not coming back up again until June 13-15 to get the marriage license, meet with florist, and tie up any other loose ends. I can't believe how close it's getting!!

Oh I can't believe you are planning your wedding from Washington. Has it been stressful for you? Isn't it amazing how you go through all of these months of planning and then it's all over in a few hours on one day. All the stress and everything that you go through when planning the wedding! That's why I can't wait to go on the cruise, which I am really looing forward to. Where are you going for your honeymoon?

It's been crazy but there are a lot of women on these boards who have been VERY helpful...it's really allowed me to plan long-distance MUCH more efficiently!...AND there's a little group of us down here in DC that's formed sort of a support network, which is also wonderful!

We are going to Italy for the honeymoon. I can't wait!!

Hi! Yet another July 6th. 39 days today! I can't believe it. We are finishing PreCana tonight. We are basically all done. I,of course, took on several little projects that still need finishing. I am typing the menus for the dinner selection and also including the names of those people at the table. Haven't you ever met someone at your table but moments later you forgot their name? Well, now they will be able to look at the paper on the table. I have to find acrylic 8X10 frames.
I made all 8 of my girls a card with a duplicate of their dress. I had asked all my guests to mail in with their response, a wedding picture of themselves on their day. I have arranged them in decades with their names below the picture. This will sit on the table where they will pick up their seating card. I have been busy. Actually, it's theraputic. Phew! I am tired.
