I'm looking for a Korean or Chinese hairstylist for my wedding Day. Does anyone have any recommendations? They need to either be located in Queens, New York or are willing to travel to Long Island.

Check out Beauty One (part of Wedding One). I visited the office Flushing but they have one in Manhattan and Fort Lee as well. I had two of my friends get married recently and they both used Wedding One for their hair and makeup. I thought they looked gorgeous.
You can check out the website at www.weddingone.com . Wedding One is a photo/video place and Beauty One is the hair and makeup 'sister' that's usually part of the same building.

You can probably do a search for Tarale or Tara-le and find brides who had used her for hair. I don't know anything about whether she is booking for 2006, so if you're interested you should probably e-mail her and ask her directly.

I just had a makeup/hair trial w/WeddingOne. It’s $500 for hair/makeup for the day of and which includes a facial before your wedding. If you don’t want the facial, it’s $400. I really liked how they did my makeup. I had another trial with Maureen Pedala, and liked WeddingOne better. Anna Kim was my makeup person. The trial is $200 on weekends, $150 during the week. If you book with them, they credit $50 towards the day of makeup.
The only downside was that during my trial, there were two different wedding parties in there when I arrived and it was a bit of a madhouse. But they all cleared out about 30 minutes later, and it was much more peaceful.

I have heard nothing but good things about Beauty One but I personally didn't want to go into the salon the day of the wedding. I am using a friend of mine from college who does wedding hair and make up on the side. Her name is Sissi Chan. You can reach her at [email protected]. Just tell Amy had given you her info. She is willing to travel to you, and is reasonably priced.
