I booked Larkfield for Oct 2007. They work with the Windgate Hotel in Brentwood (not nice) We didin't even get out of my truck to go inside. Its right by the dump. I have no idea why they would build a hotel right next to a dump, but it smells, and the road leading up to it, is covered in garbage. I called a few more hotels and the Holiday Inn Express in Hauppauge, on the south Service rd to the LIE (you can see it from the LIE) now has a contract with Larkfield for a shuttle as well. Her name is Keri and the # is 348-1400. She was very nice... explained she just met with Harry a couple of weeks ago to set everything up. Good Luck :)

we booked rooms at the Hampton Inn in Commack..its the closet hotel to Larkfield Manor. The lady there is really nice. They will provide a shuttle to the reception if you block 10 or more rooms but no longer will provide pick up service back to the hotel...for insurance reasons. Still, I thought it was a pretty good deal.
I live very close to the larkfield manor and can say there arent any very nice hotels in the area, the closet ones are the Hampton Inn in Commack you actaully would drive about 7 mins. to get to it, or you can do (I highly reccomend) the holiday Inn express in Hauppauge right off the LIE, we stayed in one of the 2 suites they have last v-day and it was very nice. They also have a thing if you book 10 rooms i think, they give you there hospitality suite for free and you can use it for whatever you want weather it be an after party after the wedding or use if for breakfast the next day, they also give you a free breakfast the next day, and I know someone who used it and had a lot of guests(that werent even staying at the hotel) go there the next day and got the free breakfast too.
does the holiday inn express have a bar in the hotel?
no, but since they dont have a liqour licinse you can bring everything in yourself!

I'm getting married at Larkfield in Aug. We reserved rooms at the Hauppauge Sheraton on Motor Parkway. It's probably about 10-15 minutes away, but it is a really nice hotel and has a great bar. We thought about the Hampton Inn, but then our guests wouldn't have a bar before or after. We are going to get shuttles to and from the reception. The Sheraton gave me names of 2 companies they reccommend, but I haven't called yet.
My friend used a compnay for a shuttle, it was so expensive $500! and she tried to shop around, but no one was cheaper, she saved on limos though, she only used them to bring the bridal party and her to the hall and it was $250.. so i guess you break even
