After contemplating dates, I have decided to get married in March of 08 instead of September. I wanted our wedding date to have to do with our 'dating date'. Sept. is a beautiful month, but I realized if I get married in March it will be a better date, and I will be getting a cheaper price. I was just wondering if anyone who got married in March can help me out with how the weather was. Was there much rain was it still snowing...stuff like that. TIA!!!!!!!

First of all, you can't control the weather....I got married on march 19...it was a beautiful, sunny day, about 45 degrees with snow on the ground.
Stick to the end of the month rather than the beginning...my only advice.

We had a late March wedding. My birthday was that week as well. It's 3/25
It's was a gorgeous, sunny, warm day and almost everyone who came by my hotel room that morning commented on the great weather
I am getting married in March of 07. I have been engaged and I watched the weather the last 2 years. 2 years ago on March 30 it was chilly with a dusting of snow. This past March it was 62 and beautiful! I would suggest if you can book as late in March. This way you get as far from the winter as you can. Good Luck!!

I have been in two March weddings the 14th and the 20th and both days were beautiful. We can control many things about our weddings but the thing we can't control is the weather. I wouldn't stress over it - if you happy with your decision that is all that matters.

Re: Calling all MARCH brides.....
I am getting married on March 24th......and, as I'm sure you know it is the 1st weekend of spring.
I was planning on having a really 'springy' wedding, with pinks & purples - and a spring theme, but the wedding gown I chose determined that the girls will wear a coppery color.
The reason I mention all of this is because I had the same issues as you....is that okay - it is spring, but it is also still March, yadda yadda yadda......the end result was that you can go either way - technically it is spring, but meterologically, it will still be chilly at night, so your guests aren't exactly gonna come wearing springy dresses and strappy sandals...
so - it is actually a pretty cool time to get married, imo, because you can go either way (can't really do that in July!)

Re: Calling all MARCH brides.....
btw - I'll share my favor idea with you, since I can't do the spring theme anymore....Pindar makes a wine called 'Spring Splendor'. It is a blush wine, that is actualy pretty good.
I was going to give one to each couple, and have personalized collar labels printed....
The wine is about $7 per bottle, if I remember correctly....and so cool to do with a spring theme.....(and if they don't care for wine - it's a week before Easter/Passover - they can always have it for guests!)
