Calling all past and future brides, will you be/did you

attend your cocktail hour?

i was dead et against attending but my dh wanted to see the set up and thought we should attend. im so glad we did because i never would have had the time otherwise to say hello and really take a few minutes to sit with everyone

We are definetly attending. Don't want to miss a minute of anything!!!
Plus, we're having a great jazz trio that I REALLY want to see perform at the CH, so we'll be there!

There was no way we were missing ours - it was fantastic. Plus is was so great to be able to see everyone and say hello then instead of running around during the reception part to see everyone.

we dont have a choice logistically. but i have to say that i am really not dissapointed at all to be missing it.

Yep... we plan to be there for most of it. Our CH starts at 6:30 and we plan to be there at least until 7pm... after that we want to steal away to our bridal suite alone to have a few moments to ourselves. The CH is a great time to get some of the guest greeting out of the way.

We stopped in for about 15 minutes. I am so happy we did, we got to see how it looked, how everyone was enjoying the food and we got to say hi to some people, which was great considering how fast the night goes and the limited time you get to see everyone!! After that we went back to our suite to build up to our big entrance!

Me and my Husband didn't attend our cocktail hr because we wanted to make out grand entrance into the ballroom!

I specified to our photographer that all our pictures need to be taken before our CH. We did not want to miss 1 minute of our wedding that we had been planning for 2 years. It was the best decision we could have made. We were able mingle with our guests and make our rounds so we could be on the dance floor the rest of the night instead of greeting our guests.

Definitely attending. I also told my photographer that all pictures must be done before hand. Our cocktail hour is actually an hour and fifteen minutes. We are going to sneak away to the bridal suite for 15 minutes to savor the moment and then we are planning on greeting everyone at the cocktail hour so we can enjoy the reception. We aren't having a receiving line. We won't be making the table rounds at the reception... I want to enjoy it.
