What style neckline/gown ended up looking best on you???
ETA: I'm 5'2, just under 110 (most of that in hips/butt), small chest.... I'm definately going to go for the slim-fitting. Guess I'm asking what type of neckline would make me look like I have a lil more up top
TIA!!!

gotcha... i see its not so cut n dry afterall... the strapless didnt do much for me... actually just made me look too boxey b/c i have narrow shoulders....
the problem is they categorize girls by so few things. Such as short meanwhile you can be short with big or small chest, big bottom or small bottom, narrow or wide shoulders so its hard. They'll sometimes say X dress is good for short girls, then you look further and it will say the same dress is bad for girls with a big chest so what if youre short and have a big chest so makes no sense. I mean some of the guidelines they have help and apply but you have to evaluate if it applies to you completely. Go with what you like best on yourself.

I'm 4'11, 111 lbs... most of that in my mid-section and boobs, lol a-line gown, sort of a sweetheart neckline (mine is more of a gentle curve than a plunging sweetheart neckline). Look in my album if I'm not describing it correctly. PERFECT on a small bride.

I'm 5'2 and 100 lbs - no boobs at all but with the help of Georgette's bra and padding and good atleration, I was able to wear a strapless, poofy dress. See my album

Re: Calling All Petite Brides Past & Present!!!!!
i say try on whatever appeals to ur eye first...and take it from there...like i tried on big poofy satin dresses and HATED how i looked in them (im 4'11, 110 lbs, med sized chest) so then i knew thats not what i wanted....i ended up getting a sweetheart neckline, aline dress, chapel length train..chiffon dress (in my album) based on my measurements, my dress will be like 1/2in too small in the chest, so im sorta hoping i can fit into it w/o any strapless bra (cause i absolutely despise them) and it will give me a lil boost
i have the same build-- i want to agree with the other ladies with the A-line-- however anything not too poofy will be fine-- but we each have our own complexes with our body so you should try on gowns and see what you think--

If you can financially wing it, I would suggest a fitting at Blum's. They are very honest. Ask them to help you. I don't like my top half low cut because I have a 'concave' chest (it is very sunk in and ugly). I am 5'2' , so I am petite, but I choose a dress that would hide that. Blum's has a large selection to choose from from bustiere's to different types of bras. That may help in your decision.

Re: Calling All Petite Brides Past & Present!!!!!
I'm 5'4' and have a thin build. I found sweetheart necklines were pretty unflattering no matter what the foundation garment. There was just no disguising what wasn't there.
I ended up going with a strapless, straight neckline. Although I didn't want a strapless dress at first, I ended up going with one because dresses with straps seemed to make my narrow shoulders even narrower. This in turn made my noggin look huge! The proportions were better with a strapless. Pic in album.

You really need to try a lot of different things, I ended up with a dress I never thought would look good on me.
I'm 5'1 and I loved the way empire waist make me look. (see my dress in album)
