Calling all poets!!!

Need some help with our STD wording!!! This is what I have so far...

By now you’ve heard
Nicki and Josh are engaged
It’s been a few months
And plans have been made
The place has been booked
The date is all set
We hope you will join us
On the day we’ll be wed

Can't figure out the set/wed thing!!

Help???
