For future & past CLM, Riveria, John Anthonys/Venetian Yacht Club, Captain Bill, etc. Brides:
1) Which hotel are you using for yout OOT guests & the wedding night for you & DH?
2) Why did you pick that hotel -raves/rants?
There are no hotels less than 20 minutes away from that area & I am having such a hard time deciding! There seem to be great & horrible things about all the hotels
TIA

Re: CALLING ALL SOUTHSHORE/ON THE WATER BRIDES!
our ceremony/reception is at Louis XVI in Patchogue.
The OOT guests will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn (Veterans highway, near the airport).
I selected the hotel because it's new (hence clean), it has a pool (just in case the guests are looking for something to do), they have a bar in the lobby (for after the reception), they offer a breakfast for the guests the morning after. And, most of all they had the best rate ($119) in the area.

I'm having my reception at the Snapper Inn.
I also blocked rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn. Price, location, the fact that it is a relatively new hotel (less than 2 years old).
There are a ton of hotels on Vets Highway (Rt 454), which would be close enough. There is also the Islandia Marriott right off the LIE.

We did the Islandia Marriott. It is beautiful, had two bars and a restaurant, a large indoor pool our niece and nephew used....It was great, and $119 a night with our special rate.

Are they supplying a shuttle for your guests?

No shuttle....I didn't find any hotel that offered a shuttle to my reception site. We are thinking of hiring a private shuttle, but our budget is already ssstttrreettcchheedd!

Wedding: The Venetian (JA's)
Hotel: Smithtown Sheraton (9 miles away)
rate: $109/night
We chose Smithtown Sheraton because of the rate, location, helpfulness of informative Erica - the woman who deals with this stuff.
Also, they gave us a good deal b/c we are having our RD in one of their ballrooms the evening before the wedding.
P.S. Good deal on room for us for ENTIRE WEEKEND!

I had my wedding at the Riviera- it was wonderful!
We stayed at the Huntington Hilton. We had some problems with them. Here is my review

Hey Kelly - I chose the Hilton because I know what it looks like and they may be able to set up shuttles for the guests.

Re: CALLING ALL SOUTHSHORE/ON THE WATER BRIDES!
I got married at the Bellport Country Club. Our guests (and us) satyed at the Hilton Garden Inn for a number of reasons. One they price was not that bad. It was right up the road from our church (so most guests went there in between the church and the reception (church was 3:30, CH was at 7:00). When you called or went there the workers were so pleasant to deal with. The place was so clean. It had the bar, pool all that stuff.
And not for nothing (cause I like to eat) Breakfast the next morning was wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: CALLING ALL SOUTHSHORE/ON THE WATER BRIDES!
im getting married at JA. I booked the hilton in melville. its only 1 exit away and the shuttle is 400. i really liked them, b/c u dont get penalized for rooms not booked, they just hold rooms for u and i month before release them back, if they are not booked. also the shuttle hold i believe 14 which is more than most. i didnt want people who wanted to stay have a huge hotel bill on their back considering how expensive the night already is, and this place is 125.
