calling all SPA LADIES!

I need some advice. Only been to one once in my life so far- and that was all paid for in advance by a biz partner.

Finlayy getting to go to a almost local spa ...was a mothers day gift from hubby.
Day of Beauty- massage, reflexology, mani/ pedi/ body scrub, hair styling and make up application...

since this is on a gift certificate- do I have to tip? and if so, how much and is it to each individual?

the certificate says to leave valuables at home so all jewelry will be off except for engagement and wedding band..
and I am guessing I will be in a robe during my stay there, so how do I carry $$ around to tip?

First of all, have a wonderful time!!! I never felt so relaxed & rested until after my first spa day

Some gift certificates include tips others don't. When you are checking out at the end of the day, they will be able to tell you based on the value of the certificate. Otherwise, it's the normal 15-20% tip.

There will probably be little envelopes at the front desk for the tips that go in a slot & distributed to the technitions at the end of the day.

what is the standard operating procedure?

i usually bring in my pocketbook and leave the money in there.
if the tip is not included which it probably is......... i usually tip 5 dollars for every hour they spend with me.
if it at TCarltons is probably isnt

You don't need to worry about havign to carry money with you in your bathrobe! YOu leave the tip at the very end, when youa re dresses ad ready to chack out! they ahve little envelpes it the front when you put the tip. You never actualy hand it to the preson!

First off, enjoy!

You only tip at the end when paying (or submitting the GC) so you don't need to carry around $$ with you during the treatments.

I use those little envelopes that most salons have by the cashier.

I tip about 15% max - maybe I'm a cheap@$$ but it gets expensive real fast otherwise!
