Just got a new job in the city (finally) and I was wondering what subway line will get me from Penn station to 47th & B'way. Would it be the 1/9?? Help, I'm such a dope when it comes to manhattan.

The E has a stop at 50th street and b'wy, that might be your best bet! I walk tho from pen to 44th & Bwy when I take the LIRR unless I am running late...

You could take the 1/9 to 50th street & walk down 3 blocks & east les than an full avenue to Broadway or youlc codl get out & 42nd & walk up 5 blocks & over, or you could walk voe rto herald square from penn & take the n/r to 49th & broadway.

if you go to www.straphangers.org, they have info for all the subway lines

The n/r lets you out at 49th and 7th( I used to live right there). The 1/9 lets you out at 50th and broadway.
