Calling all Suffolk Homeowners who are late with STAR, lol.

So the deadline is 3/1/2004 and I have yet to send it in. i am so afraid they will say No and then my taxes go up

How long til we find out and where can i find my tax map number??????

I just finished filling my application out and I am mailing it this weekend.

Why do you need your tax map number? I did not see this on the application.

Your Tax Map Number should be on your county tax bill, contract of sale, suvey and various other documents you would have received after your closing.

If you don't have the tax map number, I believe you can use the section/block/lot number of your property.

When we filed ours DH just went to Islip town hall and they gave him the tax map number and he filled out the paperwork and handed it in.

Bad news (sort of) is that with the increase in the library taxes for our town, and the reassesment increase, the total tax increase took almost all of our $900+ STAR savings. Our taxes went down a whopping $15.
