if I want to be a teacher - but I dont have my masters...can I get a job teaching anyway (With a college degree) and work on my masters as I am working??
If so - what is the best way to go about looking for jobs in the field?

you NEED certification to teach, a masters' they will let you work on and should give you 5 years from date of hire to get it

you need certification to teach----but not to sub in most districts....as long as you have your bach.

I believe it's now three years to get your masters. How abotu look into working in a private school until certification is done?

Or -- if you're willing to work in NYC (the 5 boroughs) -- you can do the nyc teaching fellows program where they actually pay for your masters AND pay for you to teach.
