Calling WCC Brides - Negotiations Please Help!

Hi WCC Brides -
I'm new to LIWeddings, but have been reading all the posts and it's super helpful. Thank you!!

I started my search for RH, and I fell in love with WCC and Chateau Briand... still deciding between the two. Food is very impoartant to FH and myself. Has anyone been to weddings at both places and can give me an idea of which place has better food?!

Also, WCC was a bit on the pricey side for us. What did you guys negotiate for before you booked? Just wanted to get an idea of what we can get out of them. We are looking to have our reception in Aug. 2012.

i've never been at CB but i love the food at WCC ... so did all my guests

as for negotiating ... we got A LOT for free:
-- free ceremony (usually $500)
-- free extra captained station at CH
-- free white lounge sofas at CH (usually $1200)
-- free cordials at the end of the night
i feel like there was something else ... but i can't remember

and we got a discount on the price itself because we booked within 1 year of the date (we booked November 2009 for an August 2010 wedding). Also got another discount because it was a Sunday afternoon wedding.

also got for free the ceiling drapes (cloth draping from the center of the room to the walls .... don't know what it's actually called)
