Calphalon Tri Ply Stainless Steel Cookware Set advice

I went to Bed Bath and beyond and was told the Calphalon Tri Ply Stainless Steel 13-Piece Cookware Set is the best in the market ($400) what do you think? I have not been able to find a consumers report on it.

Do you have this set or brand? What is your opinion?

I've been doing a lot of research and everyone has said All Clad stainless is the best. Most of the Calphalon comparisons were the anodized and not the stainless. Check Amazon, they have a lot of great reviews there.

We are tentatively planning to register for All Clad tomorrow at BBB, but we want to look around and see everything in person first. Calphalon Stainless is most likely our back-up.

All Clad is more expensive and doesn't go on sale as much, which is frustrating. I do think they can get away with that for a reason.

I had been all ready to go with All Clad but I thought the All Clad handles were really uncomfortable... I also thought you get a lot more for your money with Calphalon. I'm still torn though since everyone seems to love All Clad.

The BBB guy told us All Clad is top of the line and you pay a premium for their name, but that the Calphalon Tri Ply is right behind it and is their top seller. We also added some Calphalon Non Stick because I heard mixed reviews about the All Clad Non Stick.

Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

we have that exact set of the calphalon tri ply

I was going to register for All-Clad, but then decided that it wasn't really worth the extra money. The calphalon work just fine, no complaints so far, and I've been using them for about a year now.

Thanks :) I am glad someone else has the same set. Everyone else says all clad, but they are so expensive that I feel bad putting it in my registry.

I felt bad too but I was going to add it anyway! I dont know why I found the All-Clad handles so uncomfortable, and I'm sure the Calphalon Tri-Ply will be plenty fine for us. It let us add more individual pieces too without feeling bad.
