Depends on what kind you want. You can get one for $200 or for $2000. We have a Canon camcorder. It's nothing special since FH is not exactly mechanically inclined. We payed like $400.00 for it and got a 10% fireman disount at PC Richards.

I have the one where you look at the screen, not through an eye piece. It is a sharp viewcam. I think it was $300-$400 3 years ago. I love it.

We have a JVC something or other that we got at Sears 3 years ago...It takes digital pics as well as movies, kinda small, lightweight...I don't remember what it cost though.
