I met with Camelot, and got a quote from Joe, who was awesome by the way.
We wanted to shop around since we are really strapped for cash... and we found a company that would be $100 cheaper $200 if we did the shuttles.
I REALLY liked Joe and his company but what do I do?
I hate bargaining becuase I feel like they dont believe me or that im just a cheap-o
Its only $100-$200 but its alot of money at the same time...
any advice?

Re: Camelot concern
Joe is great so if you give him a call and let him know, he might match.

Call him up, like you said Joe is a nice guy I'm sure he understands that it's not personal it's business. Just explain to him that x company is offering you a better deal. If you get a deal with Joe great, if not maybe you can head over to the other place.

I would try talking to Joe and explain that you found a better price elsewhere but you really wanted to book with him. I bet he's willing to do something.
I know $ is tight and obviously the costs of a wedding are ridiculous, but for me personally, I'd rather pay a little more for excellent service, then save a couple dollars and get mediocre service. JMO.

no not at all. he actually told us to go ahead and look around. money is money and like laura said, call him and try to work it out. but, if not, you really have to think of other aspects. if you like him that much and he won't go down the $100 or $200, maybe you can cut a cost somewhere else?
With his reputation and the experiences my family has already had with him, we didn't bother looking around. Sometimes, paying a little more and having the peace of mind knowing he will show up and you will receive amazing service is comforting. If I were you, I would call him. If he can't do anything, I would see if I can save that money on something else and try to book with him!

i negotiated with all of my vendors...i got a quote from camelot...and then got a cheaper quote from sir oliver. joe couldnt even get close to the quote i got from sir oliver so unfortunately i needed to keep the budget in mind and booked with sir oliver ($300 or $350 savings).....all vendors are used to people negotiating with them! dont feel bad

He won't think you're lying. When we booked with him, he told us to go look around so we could feel comfortable. We didn't bother looking at anyone else because his reputation speaks for itself.
Definitely give him a call.

Re: Camelot concern
i bargained with him, and he came close (50 over) so i still ended up going with the other company, but he did knock like 250 off the original price he gave me

Re: Camelot concern
We negotiated with him and got a few hundred dollars off. I think it's insane to not negotiate with vendors, that's what the wedding industry is all about!

I hate negotiating too, and hadn't really done it at all. I negotiated with my florist, and she knocked $300 off of her offer (which we haven't formally accepted yet, but still). I think it's definitely worth it to see what he says! The worst thing that can happen is that he can't match it, and you go with the cheaper place!

Re: Camelot concern
I negotiate ALL my vendors. Dude, it's OUR money, and we're paying for a service. Times are hard these days... vendors understand, and if they don't, it's better you take your money elsewhere.

Re: Camelot concern
Def negotiate!! I found a cheaper price somewhere else and Joe was able to negotiate with me to a price I was comfortable with.
