Someone mentioned on a previous thread that you should know or meet rather, the camera person to see if you have a good vibe with them since you will be with this person all day. I have no experience on this side, but I envisioned the camera person being no where near me, like behind the scenes but catching all the special moments of our day. I kind of wanted it to be this way for us. I despise the video camera. I cringe everytime I see someone coming in my direction with one at family parties. Anyone feel this way too? Do any videographers do this for people like me? Or must they be at your every step with the photographer?

Re: Camera Man question
I think it depends on the videographer - some insist on being in your face the whole day and others are not. I too can't stand being on camera, but really wanted the whole day on tape.
If you decide you want a videographer, just make sure he or she is clear on your expectations - they should be able to stay behind the scene and still capture the day on tape.

Re: Camera Man question
You should always meet the people who will be with you the day of the wedding, especially the photographer and video person. They are with you ALL day and night so you need to like them. I am using Wild Rose Video- and I know that I will NOT see Bill in my face with a camera. He is very behind the scenes. There are some things he can do (if I want) that are posed, such as saying something to my FH before walking down the aisle, etc..but that is my choice to do or not do.
There are lots of video and photographers who bother you the entire day. You need to find the right vendor for your needs.

Re: Camera Man question
Thanks Teri I just don't want a still of my face leaning to one side for 5 seconds in the video! This may sound bad but I hate that-my dad taking a shot of my family and we are all standing there grinning just looking at the camera and wondering when he is going to say stop! I prefer the video to be more natural. THen again I have never viewed a wedding video before so I am probably way off on the details of it. Then again I never view any video where I am in it!! Good Luck to All!!

Re: Camera Man question-Michele31
I must have posted right after you and never read your second message! I will have to add this question to the list I have created for videographers. If it was up to me I wouldn't have a video but I know some family members won't be able to attend and the video would be perfect for that. Wild Rose video is one of the vendors I plan on visiting. Thanks michele31
