HI just wondering if anyone is doing camera's on tables at your wedding?
I also was wondering if anyone could suggest a poem or saying to attach to the camera?
Thanks for your help!

Re: Camera on the tables
We are going to! I know there was a post on BHB with the poem, and if I find it, I'll share it here. We'll probably do 1/2 the tables with color cameras and the other half with b/w.

I may have them....somewhere on the boards I saw a camera scavenger hunt. You would ask guests to see if they can take certain pictures for you (a pic of the photog taking a pic, a pic of each person at the table, a pic of somone dancing, etc.). I really like that idea.

Re: Camera on the tables
This was just posted on '05:
A lot of cute poems...I like the last one:
Snap I'm your camera - so have some fun, You'll make this album a special one! away as best you're able,
Here is a camera Please use it a lot, To take pictures of What the photographer will not.
The flash is required Because it is night. If you don't use it, The snaps won't come out right.
Hold the front switch over 'Til the little light flutters. You're all ready now!! So please press the shutter.
The perfect distance Is four to ten feet. Any nearer or farther Will be your defeat.
At the end of the evening With all film exposed, Return to the best man, Who'll develop the photos.
The bride and groom have a request So put on a big smile And look your best When you see some fun Take the hint You snap the camera And we'll make the print!
Take this camera and have some fun Get some pictures of everyone! Maybe you'll see something We didn't see That we can keep as a memory!
See this camera sitting here -- It's for your use, we say. To help us capture memories On this, our wedding day. Share the camera among the guests. Some candid shots please take. Then leave the camera when you're done. An album we will make. You've helped to make our special day Complete with love and laughter. Thank you all so very much For the memories you did capture!
To celebrate this special day, Pick a camera and really play. Leave it on the table when you are through, So Carrie and Robert can develop the pictures taken by you.
This is a very special gift for Anne and Bob to see. The Reason it's so special is, 'Cause it's from you and me.
Take a posed or candid snapshot and when all the film is through, leave the camera by the door so they'll have these memories of you.
Please take pictures throughout the night This camera is here for your delight Table shots, candids, the bride & groom, whatever you like throughout the room.
Join in the fun on our special day; Capture some memories in your own special way. Take a few pictures and then pass it on; leave it on the table when the exposures are gone! We can't wait to see what develops!
Pick me up and use me Take pictures of you Pull me a face And make me laugh And don't forget to use the flash
-------------
I'm a little camera Short and Stout Pick me up And point me out
-------------
Get under the table, Stand up on a chair, Hang from the rafters, Give someone a scare. Whatever you do to make them all laugh Remember me, and my little flash

Re: Camera on the tables
Photographs are the most important thing to me when it comes to planning!! I am definetly doing the table cameras and would love to see the poem - I have not even begun that aspect of planning though!

Re: Camera on the tables
I definitely want to use them..but figure in order to save some money...I'm going to start buying them from Target or a store like this...just the regular Kodak brands. They will work just as well and are a heck of a lot cheaper. Thanks so much for posting the camera poems. That is awesome...never even thought to attach a poem!!

Re: Camera on the tables
I thought about it and i'm not going to have them. I am having two photographers and paying good $ for them. No need to spend more on amateur photos and developing, and you might only get a few good shots.

Re: Camera on the tables
I am unsure if I want to do this. I did want to but I have heard from others that you really don't get any good pictures and most tables don't even finish the camera off. I am so unsure still. Lots of people are making it sound like a waste of time and money.

I think that most likely we will have them. I have to see if there is money left over for that next year.

Re: Camera on the tables
I am not sure.. I might just give them to a few people - like the BP. One of my friends used them, and she said that she only got a few good shots; that most people tried to take far away pics - like the cake cutting, or first dance, etc. and the disposable cameras can't take pictures from that far. So I am undecided. If I ask the BP to take the pics, I can tell them that I want shots of each person at the tables, etc.
