i am getting married at the Riviera and they give the option of getting the cake from Black Forest or Campbell's bakeries. I got a samply cake from Black Forest (my first cake from them) and thought it was just OK. I had a cake from Campbell's once and remember really liking it so I think I am going to request a sample of our favor from them. Does anyone have any reviews/opinions of Campbell's?

My sister worked at campbells. I love their cakes. I know the owners daughter who was always nice. They are one of the only bakeries I will eat a cake from eventhough I live close to black forest I drive to campbells. There really is nothing wrong with black forest their stuff is good I just think campbells is better. Fh did like going in there because it was busy so my wedding cake is from a Taste of Home but if it were up to me it would be campbells.

We decided to go with Black Forest since I noticed most of the recent Riviera brides have used them and had nothing but amazing things to say. I have not heard any bad reviews about Campbell's though so I don't think you can go wrong either way. Try and go to a tasting for both and see what each can do for you within the package you're given.

I've never had any cakes from Black Forest, but I've had lots of cakes from Campbell's and they are always good. My sister had her wedding cake from there also and it came out great and tasted amazing, here's a pic

Thanks everyone! I am going this Sunday for a tasting. In case anyone is interested (esp Riviera and Chateau La Mar brides since they use Campbells) they hold cake tastings on Sundays. They said they have samples for you to try when you come in for your appointment and if you like you can design the cake that day too.
