I didn't get the lights package from my DJ, because I don't want a club feel to the reception. But, I am worried that the ballroom may be too dark (Oak room at Jericho Terrace). Can florists provide decorative lamps or other types of lighting to brighten a room? Has anyone here ever done this? Thanks!

I hired a lighting company through the my floral decorator. I had pinspotting on all of the tables.

I think florists can recommend a place and sometimes do provide lighting. I saw something about it on 'Magrack' on IO. They made the room look magnificent by accenting the centerpieces with just the right lighting. It really looked so elegant.
I would check out Party Sensations. They are a vendor on here.
