Is it okay to take pics like this at your own wedding? Did you take your own camera, leave it to the photographers or firends and fam?

i am a huge picture wh0re!!!! so i am taking my own camera 100% lol
altho i will b giving that camera to my sis/moh and she knows that she is on major picture duty! lol
shes been well trained over the years lol

I'm not married yet - but thought I would share anyway! FH and I are not bringing a still camera with us - we are leaving that up to the photographer (we are paying him enough!) But we are thinking of bringing our flip cam to take some videos from our point of view, and to capture a few minutes while we are alone in the limo after the ceremony (only time we have alone together all day!)

im the papparazzi in my family and group of friends so i'm giving one of my BMs my camera and she's vowed to take as many as she can since i took 900 pictures at her wedding!

I am always the one taking pictures at all family & friend gatherings. It is going to pain me to be without my camera but it is my day and I will not bring my own camera. I may ask a bm to take pics for me (with my camera) but they are all camera retarded (cut off heads, off center, cover the flash with their finger etc)...so it may just be easier to rely on the photographer

I wouldn't suggest it. People are constantly taking photos, you'll have more than enough memories. Also, do you really want pictures of you where you face is hidden by a camera?

i brought my camera which turned out to be a good thing - my sister forgot her camera at the hotel ... she used mine to take pics but we didn't take many - we were having too much fun ....

I love pictures and I am always the girl with the camera but I did not bring my own camera to my wedding... I could not worry about one more thing that day! I left it to my family, friends, and the professionals! ;)

I am a total picture wh0re as well I did bring my camera but left it in the hotel. I made my step sister (BM) bring her good camera and have her and her BF take pictures of everything they came out great. I don't think I would have time to take any pictures the night went by so quick.

I think it's totally fine but I spent the entire night on the dance floor so I would not have gotten many pics. It's probably better to have a family member do it.

I brought my camera. DH took some pix in the bridal suite while we were waiting for the Rabbi to get to the hall. I am glad I brought it as he took one of my most fav pix of me plus my brother and parents had it so they took some shots of things I didnt get to see
but honestly the whole FB taking pix of urself u will not have time for that and will totally forget to use it. if u know that u will have down time like we did then def bring it why not?

I don't see a need for it. My MOH is big into pics, so I'm sure she'll be paparrazi all night long!
I LOVE the flip idea...we might do that. We only have one, so I may get one for FH as one of the gifts to send to him day of, so he can tape himself and the guys getting ready and stuff.
