Can anyone give tips on how to qualify for Fin. Aide for College

I am always over qualifed. They say, my income is too high.

But, some people know what to do, to get over? Any tips will be greatly appreciated. I want to get this over with as soon as possible.

Thanks.

What kind of aid are you looking for? And what year are you in (that matters)?

Someone once told me that whenever they ask you the amount of money you currently have in your bank accounts (savings) like TAP does always write 0 even if you have money in there. Dont know if this makes a difference but its hat I always did and I got a few grants

Are you applying with your DH's income as well? That will make a difference. If you apply alone, you might not be overqualified.

If you own a home, you might be considered over qualified because of the worth of your house and assets.

My DH is a first year grad student, and we rent, and we were given enough money to cover the whole cost of his tuition for the entire year at NYU. Thankfully he'll only be there a year!

Wow....I work part time, and they still tell me I am over qualified, I pay rent to. I think, they get me, when I am filling and they ask about the income tax. How much amount is in this line and what the final income is. I would love to get Pell / Tap.

I will be filling without my husband...(my my, my that sounds so great)...My husband.....
