CAN ANYONE HELP ME WRITE A BASIC FORMULA FOR EXCEL????
I am pretty stuck? Basically this is what I need it to do.
I need it to add each row in column B,C,D,E and then double it. Then I need it to add in the row in column F and then divide the total by 9. Can anyone tell me how to write that, I would really appreciate it!!!

I think it would be:
=((SUM(B1:E5)*2)+SUM(F1:F5))/9
Where B1:E5 is the whole range of rows in B - E you want included. Does that make sense?

I tried it and it is not working for what I need :( thank you for trying.
I would take one students grade for each quarter which would be b1,c1,d1,e1 *2 then add in f1 and divide by 9.

Try this. I just tested it and it seemed to work.
=((SUM(B1:E1)*2)+F1)/9

When things get this complicated in excel and I don't have time to figure it out I just make extra columns and do one formula at a time. That would be A LOT easier!
